Ruchi Koval is a parenting coach and motivational speaker who has inspired personal transformation in thousands of people. She is the co-founder and Associate Director of the Jewish Family Experience, a spiritual community in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been a Jewish educator for two decades, leading self-development groups for adults and teens, and mentoring educators around the world. She is a Momentum Educator, inspiring thousands of women on their journeys in Israel. She is also the author of three books: “Conversations with God,” “Soul Construction,” and her newest book, “Soul Purpose.”
Objectives of the training :
- To reinvigorate and re-inspire the mental health professional in the importance and magnitude of their chosen field.
- To demonstrate and raise self-awareness of how acceptance, boundaries, and expectations can affect the work of the mental health professional.
- To demonstrate and raise awareness of how mental health professionals can assist their patients and clients in the areas of boundary setting, self-awareness, and appropriate expectations of others.

- Boundaries — what most people do vs how to set and uphold boundaries in a way that respects yourself and others

Every one of us possesses implicit biases, which, at some point, have unfairly impacted our clients and those around us. This session is designed to create a shared understanding of the power of these biases and how Birmingham Maple Clinic can create a more inclusive and productive work environment for its staff and clients.
Learning Objectives:
The workshop is an interactive learning experience designed to create a safe and energetic environment that will enable participants to:
- Understand what implicit biases are and why we all have them
- Learn the real-life impacts of implicit biases and how they create micro advantages and micro-disadvantages.
- Identify “hot spots” for biases and how they may impact your clients.
