Psychotherapy:
I am a humanistically trained generalist practitioner primarily servicing adolescents, young adults, families, and couples. Though humanistically trained, I am of the Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT) orientation, a contemporary psychodynamic framework aligned with feminist and multicultural movements in psychology. I use RCT independently and/or integratively to address diverse issues including anxiety, depression, stress, mood and personality disorders, self-esteem, relationship dynamics, trauma, adjustment, identity, and much more. In therapy, I take a person-centered approach to help clients foster a sense of agency, relational resilience, and develop long standing applicable skills. When working with couples, it is not required but I encourage each partner to consider having their own individual therapist as individual growth is paramount to genuine mutuality and growth-fostering relationships. As a general practice, I encourage each patient to trust that they have the capacity for change and to embrace change as a nonlinear process. Progress, not perfection, is the key to growth!

The first step is the hardest. Take that step anyway and allow me to take the others with you as we collaboratively work to meet your goals!
