Eissa Reem, MA, TLLP
I provide individual psychotherapy with adults from a psychodynamic orientation with the integration of relational-cultural and cognitive-behavioral approaches. Areas of specialization include: depression, anxiety and panic, attachment issues, adjustment concerns, identity development, trauma and trauma-related concerns, relational concerns, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, and personality disorders. I also conduct psychological testing with children, adolescents and adults for learning difficulties, personality disorders, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and other diagnostic clarification.
I believe that therapy can be a powerful and life-altering experience. With the right support and an empathic environment, lasting change is surely possible. My goal is to help you gain insight into how the past has shaped you and how it continues to affect your choices. Knowing that each individual has a unique life history, my aim is to collaboratively develop a therapy experience that fits your individual needs. My training in psychodynamic, relational and cognitive-behavioral approaches helps me do just that. I strive to foster an egalitarian, trusting and respectful therapeutic alliance that will aid in your journey towards healing. I also advocate for multicultural and social justice perspectives, both of which influence my understanding of my client’s identity in the context of therapy and life experiences. Lastly, I am bilingual and able to provide therapy in Arabic.
