Nicole Jackson, PsyD
Child, adolescent, and young adult psychotherapy and psychological assessments. Specializations include behavioral issues, ADHD, anxiety, depression, sleep training, parenting work, and parent child interaction therapy. Cognitive behavioral orientation.
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults using cognitive behavioral therapy and parent child interaction therapy to address a variety of issues including anxiety, emotion regulation in young children, parenting issues, depression, and behavior management for AD/HD. In therapy, I take a strengths-based approach to help build coping skills and resilience. When working with children and adolescents, I like parents or caregivers to be an active part of therapy as they are a crucial aspect to the treatment team.
I am experienced in cognitive and academic testing for school-aged children. Using psychological testing, I am able to diagnose emotional and behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, intellectual deficits, and giftedness as well as provide recommendations to promote success at school and at home.
