Birmingham Maple Clinic therapist, Carrie Krawiec, presented to the Troy Chamber of Commerce on the topic of Work/Life Balance for the first of four team building activities hosted by the Troy Chamber and sponsored by McLaren Health Plan.

Carrie presented on the features of a healthy balance between work tasks and family responsibilities. Carrie introduced and explained the benefits of boundaries, the invisible line of protection that keeps us from obsessing about other people’s thoughts, feelings and actions. Carrie gave tools to manage guilt, set reasonable expectations, problem solve, create more efficient routines, and to communicate in more positive but assertive ways.

The group offered examples from their personal and professional domains and participated in networking after the event. To learn more about events hosted by the Troy Chamber of Commerce visit www.Troychamber.com/events.
